To completely disable the Tooltips (Mini help boxes) that pop up whenever you place your mouse cursor over objects, boxes, buttons, etc., open Notepad and copy these lines:
REGEDIT4 [HKEY_USERS\Default\Control Panel\Desktop] "UserPreferenceMask"=hex3e,00,00,00
Save and name the file 'TIPOFF.REG'. Double-click on the newly created file to enter it into the Registry.
